App Ops Desk · Issue #20

Release calendar and quiet hours

You can archive any hour. You should not start an irreversible rollout when you cannot watch it. Solo founders need quiet hours more than big teams do.

Read time: 5 min Process Risk Pairs with Issues #4 and #16
One action this week: Pick your personal no-ship windows (example: Friday 4pm local through Sunday morning) and write them in the release log header.

Good default quiet hours

Exceptions

Hotfixes for live breakage can ship anytime — if you can watch metrics and support for the next few hours.

Bottom line

Shipping is an on-call act. If you cannot watch, do not start the irreversible step.
