Universal Links and deep link ops

Deep links are a distributed system: website, AASA, entitlements, and app routes. Solo founders usually test the happy path once on their phone and never again.

One action this week: From a Notes app link (not Safari address bar hacks only), open your top two marketing URLs into the archive build and confirm the destination screen.

Checklist

  1. Associated Domains entries match live domains
  2. AASA served over HTTPS without redirects that break CDN paths
  3. Team ID + bundle ID correct in AASA appID
  4. Paths for this release still exist in the app
  5. Fallback web page acceptable if app missing

Failure modes

  • Changed path scheme in app, left old marketing links
  • AASA cached stale after domain move
  • Testing only with custom URL schemes
  • Entitlement present, domain missing on website
